Foamboard is the pick for indoors. Choose corflute if it's heading outside, to the sidelines or anywhere near the coast.
Not quite, and that is deliberate. They are the same thing everyone means by a cardboard cutout — a life size standee printed from your photo and cut to shape — but we print on rigid foamboard or weatherproof corflute instead of corrugated cardboard. It holds detail better, stays flat, and survives being handled.
Cardboard is cheaper to buy and it shows. The flutes can telegraph through the print, the edges fray as soon as it is handled, and it softens in humidity. We would rather charge a fair price for something that still looks sharp at the end of the night.
